Climbing from Masserano, you cross the municipalities of Mezzana and Casapinta, with more challenging trails and interesting ups and downs for cyclists. Along the way, interesting variants lead to the Rive Rosse and sections of high difficulty. The Rive Rosse are a site of regional interest identified for their unique geomorphological features, including the characteristic red soil that emerges at many points of the hilly ridges.
Starting from Masserano, you head towards Campalvero, climbing the hilly promontories where fine grape varieties are cultivated. The route continues through Casapinta and then enters the woods, reaching the locations of Cereie and Lanvario. From here, you climb to the hamlet of Baltigati in Soprana, where you will find a Totem that is part of a network of six privileged perception points of the landscape, located along the Wine Routes, accessible even to people with physical and motor disabilities. The perception point is designed to allow even those with reduced motor skills to grasp the essence of the itinerary from a landscape and environmental point of view. From this position, you can admire the panorama of the Eastern Prealps. The route continues to climb until reaching the Rifugio La Sella in Soprana, from which numerous connections to trails towards the Valle Sessera and the area of Sostegno or Masserano branch off.
